A simple summer dinner that’s big on flavour and easy enough for busy weeknights. These Greek Chicken Burgers are loaded with fresh herbs, feta, and tzatziki for a family-friendly meal you’ll want to make again and again.
Serves 4
Ingredients For the Burgers
1 lb ground chicken
¼ cup red onion, finely minced
3 garlic cloves, minced
¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
1 tsp dried oregano
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
¼ cup ground rolled oats or breadcrumbs
For Serving
½ cup tzatziki
4 burger buns or large lettuce leaves
4 oz feta cheese, crumbled
1 cucumber, sliced
2 tomatoes, sliced
1 small red onion, thinly sliced
Mixed greens
Directions
In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, red onion, garlic, parsley, dill, oregano, salt, pepper, and oats or breadcrumbs.
Mix until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the burgers tender.
Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties and refrigerate for 30 minutes to help them firm up.
Heat a lightly oiled skillet, grill pan, or barbecue over medium heat.
Cook the burgers for 6–7 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Toast the buns if desired.
Assemble the burgers with mixed greens, the chicken patty, tzatziki, feta, cucumber, tomato, and red onion.
Serve and enjoy!
